Bill,

Is your barn insulated? If so what kind and was it easy to finish the inside walls?

Thanks,

Buck

Looks great Bill. It looks exactly like my other barn that I did last year. I finished it off with steel on the inside and insulated it and put radiant heat in. I'll have to show you a pic of that. It looks so much like yours.

I sure do know what you mean about time. That horse barn I just built took my whole summer.

Buck,
The side walls are insulated with 6 inch thick batts that fit between the poles...full length. The ceiling is blown-in to 12 inches. Both were then finished with the same type of steel that is on the outside (but different color.) I didn't do this part myself so I can't comment on how easy/hard it was, but I will tell you the guys that did it made it look pretty easy and it did go fast. I have included a couple of pics showing the construction of this part. Hope it helps answer the question.

Thanks Richard,
I would like to see a picture when you get a chance. I followed the threads on your projects and did pick up good info on discussions regarding the electrical runs...I believe it was you. It's so nice to have the wisdom and experience of the members here when undertaking a project.

As far as the work goes...I find it a mixed blessing to have completed some of it because I enjoyed doing it (some parts I never want to revisit!) I'll now start to focus on storage solutions for my tools and "stuff." Will probably work in the implement dollies that have been discussed from time to time here. That will keep me busy for awhile.

Bill,

Thank you very much. Your comments help considerably. For some reason, I never thought of finishing my barn in metal.

Until your posting I was thinking of finishing my barn in plywood!

Metal looks great and ought to be cheaper than plywood!

Thanks again,

Buck

Nice barn Bill, What size is it? What was the cost to erect with options? I need to put up an outbuilding, probably in the spring, and I want to get an idea of price. How are you going to heat it? I like the electric door openers, do you have a remote on the tractor?
