Just thought I would let you know about the deal of a lifetime.
I happened to run across a fellow who is selling trusses, sheetmetal, insulation and more at great prices. He is carefully taking apart buildings on a farm in Baldwin, Fl. He is selling 40' factory built wood trusses with about a 5/12 pitch for $75, 3'x24' sheetmetal for $20 a sheet, 4'x23'x1" tongue and groove insulation for $10 a sheet. Those are the prices that stick out in my head, he has fans (about 50"-56") 2x4's pt 4x4's and more. All of his material is in great shape. After reading my post I realized that it sounds like I work for the guy. For the record, I am not affiliated with Ghale Thomas.
I felt that he is a straight shooter. I bought enough material to build a 40'x40' pole barn with a 12'x40' lean-to.With the concrete pad should come in around $5000. Not bad, if I don't say so myself. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Excellent price. I built a 24 X 27 pole barn. I got the metal for the sides free. I had a roof on another barn on my place cave in under the weight of snow. Insurance paid for it and the contractor that put on the new roof was careful and I salvaged most of the used metal. I bought new metal for the roof because I didn't want old roofing nail holes in my roof. Even with the "free" metal this building still cost me a tad over $2500.00. A 40 X 40 building with a concrete pad and lean to for $5000.00 is quite a deal.

By the way, my barn didn't have a pad, just a dirt floor.
