Well I took the jump and put in a 50 amp service today. After reading all the posts I think this will come in handy.
No more extension cord plugged in from the basement for the welder.
I ran 90 ft of 8 awg thwn at 37 cents per ft 6 breaker panel 19$ total cost with conduit was about 200$.
I ran 1 quick outlet today for power,on Monday I can get started with the rest.

While I'm not sure, but it looks like you're missing a wire... You should have two hots, a neutral and a ground. Be sure that you're safe.

There are 2 hot a neutral and a ground just hard to see in the picture.

If you'r wiring, you must have made it through the flooding. Nice to be high and dry!

Excellent. Enjoy your "extension cord free" existence - WAY worth it!

You might want to put in a local grounding rod. 90 feet you are starting to get out there. Not sure of codes.

I ran 4x4 boxes and 2 circuits into each box so that I had two 20 amp outlets next to each other. It seems you end up wanting to run more than one thing often enough (I used 2 different colored outlets to identify them).

You need a local grounding rod to that panel.

Nope not anymore.. that is old code,,,2 code problems,, you do have is the wire needs to be in pipe all the way to the panel.. and you need a Main breaker..

And for any one else ..... 8 awg at nearly 100 ft exceeds allowable voltage drop for 50 amps. Should be 6 awg. What you have will work, your voltage will be a little low and your circuit will run a little warm at 50 amps, but no real danger wise.

If you do decide to extend the conduit into the box, it is good practice to install an expansion joint in case the ground and the building have differential movement from temperature, earthquakes, and as a poster in west Texas discovered, drought.
