I have had such great help from this site I figured I would try here. I answered an ad on Craigslist for a 96 Yamaha Big Bear 350 with a bad rear end. The guy wanted 450.00 and it looked like a do able repair. When I got there he also had an 02 Polaris 700 sportsman - a beast, that had quit running. He wanted 800 for the Sportsman. Long story short - we settled on 800.00 for the pair.
Got them home and the Sportsman has no spark - sounds fairly common on these and and investigating what needs to be done.
The Yamaha fires but I think the carb is full of gunk from sitting. Once we have it running we will look at the rear end.
Would like to hear from anyone with any experience with either of these ATV.
