That's laughable to single out 3 makes when all of them have their pros and cons. I know of several of the makes you list that are sitting with major issues. I have an 07 Ranger that has been a good machine. A few issues but no more or no less than any other make.

I have a 2010 800 HD and I have had zero issues with it, it is an awesome machine. My buddy has a 2020 Ranger 1000 with the engine under the box and based on our experiences my 2010 gets better traction than the 2020. Maybe it's because it's better balanced with the engine being located closer to the front. I will say that in the summertime you can feel the heat radiating from under the seat but, to me it's no big deal.

I'll agree with your experience. I've got a 2010 800XP and have never had an issue with it. Well over 300 hours and all that time it was used as a utility vehicle, thus a lot of loads in the box, dragging trees and towing a loaded trailer. I've also got a Boss snowplow which works very well with this size vehicle since it is so short. I've heard stories of this engine being less than stellar but I have never had an issue and I've never run out of power before I ran out of traction. I do have a full metal cab on it (which cost 1/3 of the Ranger) and don't regret it especially when plowing in the winter or going through brush in the woods. In the summer and fall I remove both doors so that helps with heat in the cab but I do wish the front glass window would tip out to get more air in the cabin. I take good care of the Ranger and it gets the job done when I need it.
