Around here most of the new construction I work around, the sewer is either green sewer pipe or white DWV all with GLUED joints. But then we don't have the freeze problem.

Heat Welded Seamless is almost universal now since my city passed a law requiring a sewer compliance certificate to sell/transfer improved property.
None of the old stuff will pass, clay, orangeburg, cement asbestos, most older cast iron.
They are also requiring 4 band clamps that are torqued at installation for the connection between outside the foundation and inside... these cost a bit more too.
