Pls help; John Deere LX279 PTO will not operate via switch.

JD LX279 Lawn Tractor charging system fried so I replaced stator, regulator, and key switch/board. Trouble shooting completed: I replaced PTO switch; Verified good blue wire from PTO switch to PTO. Verified good ground wire. Verified PTO is good by jumping hot wire to the blue wire at switch. Verified seat and brake safety switches are good. Verified wire connections are clean. Not certain here, but I think the PTO switch's pink wire provides power directly to the blue wire when activated? Other PTO switch wires causing the issue? Appreciate your time. Go Navy!

It was a bad wire going to a safety switch at rear of lawn tractor. (Cruse control lever.)
