plowing a uneven gravel driveway up hill and down really sucks!

ABS plastic pipe works better than PVC. Steel pipe is better yet. I hate using a rear blade for moving snow. Very tough on one's neck plus yu are more limited in the amount of snow you can move.

My favorite is a V-Plow on the loader. All I plow are gravel driveways on hill sides. I use the V down the middle and then angled on each side. A pipe on the cutting edge helps when the ground is not frozen. I often keep a old
normal angle plow for that.

I use a 4" schedule 80 PVC pipe on the bottom of my blade to plow a 300+ ft gravel driveway with a hill and a dip.
Over the last 15 years or so I have tried different diameter PVC pipe and I find the larger 4" PVC pipe works the best. Put the front blade in float and plow away. Usually leaves a thin layer of snow that melts off quickly.

I’ve seen where people slot a metal pipe to fit over the blade, then weld little tabs onto the pipe. The tabs e then bolted to the blade.

I like that idea. I was hoping to use ABS pipe so as to not damage the stamped concrete walkway.

I cut a slot about 1/4 inch the entire length of the PVC pipe. Slide it over the wearing bar on the plow blade and it stays in place. You could try schedule 40 PVC. It is easier to slide on the plow blade.

My best bet is rear blade with gauge wheels. Years ago i used split pipe and it was fine until snow started to melt. The pipe rolls snow making it smooth and becomes skating ring. Going down the hill is not pleasant))
Now I leave couple inches of snow using gauge wheels with blade in float.

I've stopped moving snow except in front of the basement garage, where DW keeps her Jeep. Every vehicle we have is 4WD.
Postal carrier nor UPS can deliver large packages to the house. Looked out one day because I heard a motor running, and a FedX man was huffing up the driveway hill with a box.

I just mounted a hydraulic top link to the tractor fitted with the 7 foot Tuf Line scrape blade.

Getting ready for winter. The scrape blade is ONLY useful for snow removal AFTER everything is packed down and frozen solid.
The idea that "driving over the snow" somehow impeads snow removal using a rear mounted scrape blade is unfounded. The Opposite is the true case.

But for real snow removal, nothing beats a blower/
