I i have a craftsman gt6000 that i accuired for free. (Pics below) . I got it running and painted it. I put a plow on it and few other things. I have a few quesions.
I have mounted a safety light on the back fpr plowing at night. It is basically a small lightbulb behind a clear orange reflector. It doesnt flash like i expected it to. So is there any easy way i can make it flash?
Another thing, the tractor is over 20 years old. I have added oil, but im sure it hasmt had a change in over a few years. Should i change it? If so, How would i go about draining the oil on this thing? And where to buy a filter? Where is the filter located?
Right now i have made a plow handle to lift the plow. I have taken off the deck, and i am leaving it off. I located an electric deck lift underneath the tractor. Its a piston type thing. There is a switch on the dashoard to operate it. So, question is, how do i hook this thing up to lift my plow? Or is it strong enough? Or should i just buy a winch? And how would i hook that up?
How can i tighten up the 'play' in ther steering wheel? I have found that the plate on top of the steering wheel pops off. I tightene the bolt hidden behind there, and no luck. Still tons of play in it.
