Please critique my welds

I am alway eager to learn but when I am wrong I admit it.
Like was stated wire speed is fixed [constant] and so is voltage to a degree. My instructor always could tell if we had too much stickout by the meters and machine settings. We could control the heat [amps] a little by stickout but setting the machine up correctly was key. 25 years of welding later I now know he knew his stuff!! CJ

To the O/P are you pushing into the puddle or dragging away from it. If you are not pushing with a mig, try it and you may like it. You welds look good by the way for first timer!! CJ
