Plate Compactor

I had never seen one of these before, and I am certain that one would work. An absolutely great-looking piece of equipment.

The only problem is that I almost fainted when I saw the price -- $3600 to $4600 for the ones suitable for a compact TLB.

That's for a new one, I'm sure you can search and find a used one cheaper somewhere, may even be able to rent one now that you know what to look for.

I think some scrap pipe, flat plate, bearings, etc, you could build your own for a lot cheaper than that.. Have you decided on a compactor yet?
