My JD 1020 (diesel) has a leaky fuel tank.
Not sure where the leak is coming from. I'd have to pull the tank to find it.
Being that the problem part is just a TANK, my thought is that I'd be better off replacing it with a new plastic tank.
At least in the short term, I could get it up and running, then later go back and replace the stock tank if I choose to do so...
Problem is that I cannot find anyone who makes a drop-in replacement tank. I thought this would have been an easy find.
Seems like a common problem and someone would have come up with a "universal tank" or something.
Anyway...
Looking for suggestions -
Anyone know of such a product?
Can someone recommend an alternative - like a tank for a riding mower?
Any drawbacks to doing this?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
