Planting turnips and mustard green

No matter how hard i try not to do it, I always over seed when planting small seeds like mustard and turnips. Any suggestion, I did hear to use a salt shaker to broad cast seed. What is everyone else doing?

I use the seed package or a bottle and be very careful. want less seed then be very deliberate. I just planted Mizuna and it is up after only 3 days. It takes practice, just go slow. Better too many than not enough!

You can "cut" your seed with sand before planting.
