Can someone recommed a planter, new or used for planting the following: sweet corn, okra, green beans and peas? I have read some posts on the model 71. What about convington, burch or cole (planet jr.)? I will only be planting one acre. Is there a stocking dealer in the southeastern US for any new planters? I am only looking for a one row. I will fabricate the 3 point hookup myself if it does not come with one.
Thanks,

Planters typically have two or three different seed plates available to accomodate seed type/size. Generally, a corn plate, a bean plate for round type seed that won't go in the slots on the corn plate, and a plate with smaller slots for okra and such small seeds.
Do a google search and read the manual for the Covington planters. Others are available also.

Came across this company a while back. They may have just what you are looking for. They will put together just about any planter from a one row to use behind a lawn tractor or ATV all the way up to a large ag planter. Looks like a very good quality planters.

Here is their link: http://www.starcomfg.com/products.html

Check out the various info on the Milton Precision Planter. Looks like they could put together exactly what you have in mind. Think I will go this route myself when the time comes.

Hope this helps.
