All,
I am planning on buying in few weeks (less than 5) a Chinese tractor. I am looking for 80-100 hp for my applications. Which engine/ brand should I buy and why? Any help would be greatly appreciated. After reading posts in this forum I am kind of leading toward LOVOL or YTO. Am I missing something?
Thank u all in advance for your help.

I have not heard of good outcomes of some of the brands.

Random thoughts...

Africa can mean almost anything; it's huge and quite varied both geographically and economically.

I know that China is doing a lot of business in sub-Saharan Africa, so I can imagine that chinese tractor parts may be reasonably accessible in some locales. By that order, though, I'd think that buying one there may be considerably cheaper as well.
My guess is that the market is considerably different if you're talking South Africa, but I get the impression (from thin air) that you're not.

I found this An Affordable Smart Tractor For African Farmers And Their Tiny Farms which was interesting. Guessing your requirements are already well thought out though and you're looking at needs for a much larger farm. Are you planning to buy in US and ship it there, or is it being ordered for shipment directly to (somewhere in) Africa?

The main think I can advise to the OP is to consider what the known reliability is for the tractors under consideration, and try to find out what the parts availability is in the destination area.
