What, exactly, makes a snow blower "hybrid"?

It looks to me that it is a pull type with the auger behind the blower,
whereas most pull types have the auger in front feeding the blower.

How about inverted inverted blower?
Just kidding, but with the way they can get right up to garage doors has me interested.

Were finally getting snow. 4 inches and still falling. I decided to put all snow equipment on the tractor .... there goes 4 hours of my life.... so I should expect 50f tomorrow.

Actually, I had to pull a Fedex truck out of a ditch last night, and the tractor tires were not getting much grip on frozen base. So I thought... what the heck let’s chain it up tomorrow if I get bored.

I guess I got bored right when the wife asked me to help clean the house for the New Years party later tonight.

Also, she keeps trying to force me to break my New Years resolution

DO NOT DO ANY HOUSEWORK

You would want bigger if moving 2 feet of hard drifted snow. If the blower were heavier, the steering while plowing would be poor. There are several areas where I plow snow and then use the blower to get rid of it. Basically lucked out when picking the blower [a good price on Craigs List] as I have no prior experience with this type of set up.

Sno
What type of snow suit do you wear, as it looks like you are covered in snow by the looks of the tractor seat area??

Nice setup there..

Most common is just several layers with insulated car hart bibs, a hooded sweatshirt which helps keep snow out of my jacket even without the hood up, and a warm insulated jacket. A baclava and old open face snowmobile helmet with a visor for my head work pretty well. I did wire in a cigarette lighter and have motorcycle heated gloves and vest that I use for long sessions if temp is lower than about -10F. I wear a cheap headlight for backing up but a good backup light on the tractor is next. I dream about a cab and may build one but this works well for me now. I also think I would like to try a back blade and front blower when I get too old to be turning around for hours. The only real operational concern is that the clutch pedal can get slippery and I have to be careful of that in tight spots. I’m thankful to have slipped off it a couple times where it didn’t matter so I know to be careful.

We had quite a bit of ice with this last storm. I'm so happy I got a set of chains this fall. Couldn't move the snow/ice mess at all without them.
Build or get a cab SNO you won't believe how nice it is. Been there done that.

When I had a rear blower I U bolted a large piece of plexiglass to the ROPs. It kept the majority of the snow off of me and I was way warmer.
