on that green machine. i cant tell what the tracks are like. are they real aggressive. reason i ask is i had a client that had a bobcat tracked and he tried to plow his steepish driveway. it went down hill real great....but couldnt stop. also couldnt get back up the hill when he made it to the bottom. ice under snow did it in. Worked great in the flats

Not many tracks will work good on ice or packed snow, they spread the load out for flotation.
Unless you can add studs or ice grousers tracks aren't the best for traction many times about the same as rubber tires with no chains.

I broke down and put the blower on today. I'd been using the plow to move leaves into the hedgerow after sweeping them up.
Got the little blower started and the sears set for snow backup duty.

I never thought about using a snowblower to move leaves.

It doesn’t! And it is a long process to get all the wedged in mess removed.
Believe me! Don’t try it.

I always wondered if that might work but never gave it a shot. Maybe someday when it's warm and I've got lots of time and shear bolts...

This is what you guys need:

Almost bought one of these off Craigslist several years ago (I had a Deere 790 or 4400 at the time). Great toy, but I just didn't have enough leaves to justify the purchase (which, IIRC, was less then a grand)
