The cyclone rake itself doesn't shred the leaves. Very little effect when I use the pickup hose. I have gator blades on the mower deck and they do a great job when I pick up with the mower. A few days after I picked up leaves this fall the compost pile was steaming. Next year, if i have more time, I may dump the leaves I pickup with the hose and pick them up again with the deck.

Since I've just successfully taken care of a few feet of snow and cold temperatures, I'll post this picture now. This is my JD 2320 doing wood pile stocking duty. The blower is a Jinma 60" I bought used and have upgraded with an impellor kit from Clarence, and a homemade winch to rotate the discharge chute I posted in another thread. The cab is the Original Tractor Cab soft side cab and I've added four 27 watt LED floodlights, two front and two rear.
It's working well now. I'm especially impressed with the cab. It's a very good fit and as weathertight as a soft cab can be. No heater, of course, but I've been out in it for as much as an hour in zero degree F weather with no problem. My feet started to get cold but my face and hands were fine, even though I was just wearing mechanics gloves. Not sure where the heat is coming from but it must be picking up some from the tractor. The floods are great also. They light up the work area pretty much like daylight.

I use motorcycle heated clothing when on my tractor in the winter. It's a cheap way to get really warm! I imagine it would work especially well in an enclosed cab, I have no cab and can stay warm in extremely cold temps... although it's no substitute for a cab, it does make an open station a whole lot better!

So far, so good. We bought it three years ago (still not cheap at 53K with the drag), but because our trail system crosses the lake and we cannot drive the big machines across it, we need 2 machines. Fortunately, the short run is only 9 miles round trip so I am hoping it will last a long time! The other side of town is 40 some odd miles RT, so that one gets more time on the clock (new 09, $160K, 500ish hours now).

I couldnt resist this when i saw it ( it was cheap and weird HAHA) but now that I own it I,m wondering who built it . Any ideas ?
