My favorite ski resort in lower Michigan is reporting 55" so far on the season. Pretty good lake-effect contributions, but the temps have swung up and down enough to melt much of it and require strong snowmaking to open all the trails.

Sorry this is off topic. My snow weapon is just the FEL and a janky old 7' rear blade. Rare to get deep enough snow down here in lower MI to require anything more serious. But chance for 6-12" on Friday with this blizzard.... could do without the sub-zero windchills, but oh well.

Here is our local ski report Schweitzer has plenty of snow so far


season snowfall 128 inches
but it is Cold at 1* and a -20* in todays forecast for the low

Cold enough they limited Operations to the front side of the mountain

Don't think that includes the wind chill and there IS generally a breeze at the top

A Cabbed tractor would be NICE to move snow today

Same here in western WY. Locals are reporting -25, -30 with wind chill factor.

-35*C (-31*F) here the last 2 mornings. Yesterday the feels like temp was 12* colder, making it -47*C (-52*F). Too cold to be outside.
