( When I was at the dealer picking up the bucket I spotted a used 60" JD rear blade in great condition, so I grabbed that to)

Looks more like a 72" rear blade - was that reference to the 60 a typo? I have a 60", and although it is fine for a subcompact, I'd say 60 is way too small for your machine. But like I said, yours looks like a 72" and if so, you should be fine when it's angled.

cag, I like that monster on the back of your tractor, but I don't think I need that much muscle, live in Connecticut, we can get over a foot of snow at a time but average is around 6 inches. we are just missing a noreaster tonight, should get 4-5 inches though,. maybe I'll get a chance to use my new equipment. Good luck! John

Bandit, you are correct it is 72 inches, my mistake. It still doesn't cover the track on the close side when it's angled all the way, but one hole from the end is o.k. it took me a couple of minutes to figure out why the blade was way past the wheel track on one side but not on the other, thought I had the link arms out of whack but of course it's because the blade pivots from about 6" behind the plane of the blade so it's pushed over to the side as it angles. will learn on the job with this plow/blade, heard that back bladeing works good on gravel before it freezes?? John,

Mike, I am going to start another thread about my "bucket buddy" but I'll give you a sample here. I was going to weld on some chain hooks but also wanted to use nylon straps and have a trailer hitch for moving equipment around so I bolted on a 2" receiver tube, the pictures tell the rest of the story John,
