Wanted to wait til I was done (mostly done) to post pictures of my shop build this summer. Still have some minor things left to do on the back side. The garage is 40x72, but only 40x40 is finished, concreted, insulated, etc. The back 32x40' is cold storage for equipment. Still need to do the weather strip around the garage doors back there, and get gravel down for the floor. But my finished side is pretty much done.

So lets start from the beginning. (lots of pics and posts coming)

Here is the foundation:

And The concrete for the first 40'. Dodnt turn out great as there was unexpected downpours while trying to finish. Had to rent a grinder :mur: but turned out okay in the end

Lumber delivery. This is the crap 84 lumber thinks you can build with :mur:

IMG_20150530_095410897.jpgIMG_20150530_095432783.jpgIMG_20150530_095510496.jpgIMG_20150530_095709370.jpgIMG_20150601_162326466.jpg

So I made them take quite a bit back. Was anxious to get started, as it was a wet spring and I was already further behind than I wanted. So I sorted through and used the better boards so I didnt get set back another week or two. Otherwise I would have made them take back ALL of it.

Stopped by carter lumber on my way home from work to get what I rejected

Built the walls on the concrete, then set them with the tractor. That was one of the reasons I wanted the floor poured first. Second reason was a 40x40 slab with a 12' high door......I wasnt pulling concrete to the back.

Now the paint. (and some electrical, as I didnt take pictures before I started running conduit)

Painting took about an hour to prep, about 45 minutes to set up the sprayer and walk planks etc, then about 30 minutes for the graco sprayer to drink 8 gallons of paint. I dont think I'll ever roll or brush paint again:D

Ceiling liner. Boy that was fun finding someone who didnt get weak in the knees walking out on the walk plank to hold the sheet while I screw it in.

No pictures of the messy part, but there is ~12" of blown cellulose up there too

Wiring mostly done, security light up. Waiting on garage doors to arrive, we had some nice weather so I took the time to fix some of the mess left by the heavy equipment out playing in the mud during the wet spring

Garage doors arrived. Had to add a board for some mounting. Im too lazy to climb back up there and paint it grey.
