HI all,

I am ready to install my Katz inline heater, I figure lower radiator hose. Problem is the hose is not overly long and has some bends.

Was hoping someone could post a picture of one installed on their LK 3054 or something as similar as possible.

I hate to ruin a hose if I get it wrong.

Thanks all,
Joel

A picture wouldn't be of much help; awfully busy down there.I removed the hose and layed the heater over it; leaving just enough straight hose to accept the heater outlet, immediately after the bend coming out from the block, I cut the hose, inserted and clamped the heater; the remaining hose to the radiator is straight so there is no big mystery there, I ended up with a 3" section beween the heater and radiator. You want to keep the heater outlet as close to the block as possible to effect a flow in the direction of the engine, which this placement does, as there is a slight turn upward between the outlet and block at this point. Mine works very well in this location and it's about the only place you can install the heater to effect the proper direction of flow. I was quite tentative doing this myself. I hope this helps in some small way

Thanks Patches, I appreciate the detail!!

I am looking forward to getting this done, also a good excuse to change the coolant.

Thanks again,
Joel

Joel ,sorry I'm a week late but here's the picture you wanted. Hope there's enough detail. By the way, ignore my swollen hose, I'm waiting for it to burst at the most inappropriate moment :D
