We have grape vines that will grow into the trees. When I bought grandma's place had a bunch we cut at the ground. Pulled out the easy ones by hand and left the rest. They really are not noticeable. Be nice to convince your customers that the more damage can happen to the tree by trying to pull them out then to just leave them. One year and most pull easy with no damage. Patience. Something not many have.

Down here, we get vines that are like 2” thick and so strong, you could use them as rope!
Try pullin them down and you’ll damage the tree, but even after they’re cut, they’ll hang up in the trees for years.
Kind of a “no-win situation”.

People ask me all the time how big of a tree can you cut with that forestry mower, here is a softwood stump where I cut it down after I ground it down to ground level, I didn't have a tape measure with me but my boot is a size 12, hardwood trees a little less than half that size and those stumps don't grind down as nice they mostly shatter and splinter.

Same here. It is all those little "tentacles" that wrap around limbs that hold them tight. Those breakdown pretty quickly making pulling out later much easier.

Finished out the week with about a 900' limerock driveway I put down around 125 tons +/- of material and built up a slight hump up at the hard road to help keep the water from washing down the driveway.

Do you spread it with your skid steer bucket? Or do you have a blade?

Several years ago I bought a blade for my skid steer with the wheels out front with the intention of using it with my laser equipment. I did get it all connected, but never did get the hang of using it for laser grading. Now it just sits out in my yard.

I spread it with my bucket but I have been thinking about getting a land plane to do the final grading on these driveways, I bet your blade with the wheels would do a great job.

It's amazing how easy and efficient a landplane is on driveways.

For the last few years, I've worked the church parking lots and driveways (along with my own). It's a game changer and less gravel is required for a nice finish.

I think I am going to try to pick one up when I see one on Marketplace or one of these equipment auctions.

Been a couple months back, but some 6-way dozer blades for skid steers went dirt cheap at the Ocala Weeks auction. Yes, 100%, cheap imports, but I'm talking Cheap.

Found it, it went for $400. Seems like they sometimes get an entire "going out of business" inventory
