Picture Posting Web Site

What is a good free web site to be able to post a lot of pictures for others to be able to see? I have used snapfish.com before and it works pretty well. At that one, you compose an album, then send an e-mail thru that web site to whoever you want to let see the pictures. Just wondering if there were others that may be better.

Yahoo has a photo area that seems to work. I believe it is unlimited storage. You can set privacy levels on each album ...

Have you checked the IPS you are with for free hosting? MOST Internet Service Providers give you free web space to make any thing you would like, Web page, Photo shearing and so on.

ISPs that I know of that give you free web space...

AOL
MSN
Earthlink
Bellsouth

(I know there are many others, above is what I have used in the past)

I think www.photobucket.com is tops when it comes to free hosting (Internet says, not me), I have never used them myself. Also I just tried the link, I couldn't connect, BUT I am using FireFox browser, that could have something to do with it.

I use Photobucket. Am thrilled and have no desire to look elsewhere.

I use Webshots. It puts lots of ads on the page, but other than that, I like it fine.

I paid for the premium service from yahoo for their photo album that I could share with anyone I wanted. After loading pics and organizing them for about nine months, with hundreds of pics, yahoo wiped them out.

When I asked about it, they said something happenend and to reload my pics. No refund or apology.

Now I use Tractorbynet to post pics that friends and family around the country go to if they want to see one of my projects. Family pics are just emailed to everyone on my list.

It's all free and works perfectly.

Bummer ... the Yahoo photo deal is free for any free email account member now ... no 5MB limit like on TBN. I can't imagine paying for anything on the net ... but that's just me.

There is no free lunch. Companies are not going to allow you to post your pictures on their servers for free. You need to put up with Ads, or low storage capacity.

I have been very happy with a little known site called PBase.com. They give you 300 MB of storage for $23 a year. Not too shabby if you ask me. You can customize your albums if you are so inclined as well.
