WOW. I watched the video and my heartbeat was racing. What Y'all did is beautiful. I cried when I saw my Grandpa's two story barn fall into disrepair. Here is a photo of it in 1938, behind my Dad.View attachment 435047

Your welcome Cord. My Grandpa and Grandma died 20 and 25 years before the barn came down. It was my Uncle's inattention and disuse that brought it down.

My cousin owns my grandfathers farm. It has a log barn, that is not being maintained and is being destroyed by the weather. Makes my dad sick to see it being neglected.

This barn was built by my wife's great grandfather when he was 19. Some of the beams are over 20ft long.

My barn was built in 1972. Lower level with stalls, office and wash room is cement block. Upper section is laminated beam supported rafters. Is now pretty full of this year's first cutting hay. The only horse around now is Pegasus and he's ON the barn instead of IN it.

This was our barn, located in Lancaster NY. Photo taken about 1991 when we sold the farm, Barn was built in 1929, the curved roof part built about 1963. Today it is the greens equipment barn for the FoxValley Country Club. The barn cannot be seen from the public road as it is in the center of the property.

'Barns are not really used down here in Aus and NZ. We typically use open sided sheds... here's my 5-bay with a concrete slab, my workshop is the enclosed bay with roller-door.
