Concrete will be nice if you store equipment there....

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Tractor, rider, and zeroturn are in there, as well as a small tool shed. There's a corn crib in one corner that will be torn out and rebuilt as an enclosed storage space, and I'll build a new workbench. Getting new LED lighting, too, along with updated breaker box, switches, and outlets.

We've had severe groundhog problems in there over the years. Concrete will end the concern of a tractor wheel busting through into a tunnel. Plus, it'll be a lot easier to move stuff around.

Ag tires are tougher than some, but it's nice for the "rubber" to be on concrete instead of dirt.

Big space like that with concrete...... knowing all the musicians that I think you do..... sounds like you should be having a barn-dance when done !

Well, this one doesn't compare to any of the others, but it's all I have here. Multi purpose, covers the tractor, houses a bunch of tools. Could be 4x bigger, but it works. Built it by myself and 3 helpers:

I like that design and roof profile. Looks like decent space between the bays.

I've read tons of posts on here about shops. Never saw one that said "I built it too big" :laughing:

Thanks, I did the inside w/ solid wood the lower 4', the upper 4' is all 1/4" pegboard. There's also a 16" deep shelf around the 3 perimeter walls at 7' high. The center is actually 2 floors, access by pull-down stairs. I have a bunch of cabinets on the walls in different spots. Pretty much ran out of pegboard and shelf space already....going to need a bigger shed!

Actually, I [and my family] fear building a bigger shed. If I had more space I would have already scooped up a couple of very old bargain tractors, an ornate antique planter, and a very stout trac-propelled cutter bar mower. Not to mention a few favorite collector cars could be included.

Last week there was an auction in the valley for eight acres with a rough old house and an nice 80' bank barn. It went for $87K and I thought that was a bargain for the barn. And it would open up my life to unlimited storage and thus acquisition. My kids were like "careful what you wish for."

But have to agree, no one complains about too much space.

:laughing: Yeah, like most things we do here, it's turning into a borderline epic project. We were going to fix some wiring and plumbing issues in the house two years ago, and that turned into a whole house remodel. Now, pouring a floor in the barn is heading the same direction. Guess I'll start a renovation thread when that gets going.
