Attached are some pics I took this morning of my 2 L48s. I don't have the hoe on and I didn't time to bring out the KX121-3 for a family portrait. I will do so this spring. The new L48 is absolutely beautiful, brand spanking new.....only for a little while. I already had to scavange the new bucket as my old one needs the cutting edge replaced. Synergy already!!!! I know I may be a wee bit biased....but the L48 is really well built. I am happy with no complaints.

See the snow on the mountains...We are logging today and are trying to get as many logs out before the storm. Want to see a REAL machine, check out TimberPro's website.......mean machines. We was cutting 100'+ trees.....30" wide+. I got to ride shotgun in the feller buncher, what a beast, the trees must way 20,000lbs and the machine cuts, picks it up, swings, and drops it. Minimizes understorey damage and the ugly scars logging can create.

When I bought my L5450 I had a L4150 at the time too. For a few weeks I used them both. It's amazing how handy it is to have a second tractor of similar size and power. Unless someone has experienced it themselves, it's hard to appreciate just how nice it is. I for one don't think you are crazy. Maybe just crazy lucky. Great looking rigs - and what a fabulous view ! Take care, Dick B

Wow, is that what two Kubotas look like in one picture. Boy I would love to see three in a picture(hint to Lee Brown).
But seriously, good looking rigs. Jealous of you guys with so much open land.

Do you notice a big difference with chains for plowing snow?

I have chains on by little B7200 but not on the L39, so pound for pound the little one seems to push snow better.

How come you have 2 the same size. I have a hard enought time with putting hours on 1. :D

The chains make a HUGE difference, I plow alot of 700-1,000' uphill driveways and got sick of not making it up. Pain in the filters putting them on, but worth it for sure. Not cheap...$400. Wish I had a cab.

Regarding having 2 machines the same size, check out my thread of 2 L48s in this forum where I listed all the reasoning. Basically, the synergy of having 2 L48s with 1 hoe w/ hyd. thumb that fits both machines allows me to have 2 jobs going at same time.........and avoid spending huge $ on M59 with only incremental performance, and requiring me to buy another hoe I don't need as I have KX121 excavator. I run a landscape construction business and wedding business requiring a tractor, so having the same machine makes it worth while. I cannot have a machine of less capability of a L48 as the return on the investment would diminish if i bought a lower machine, execting the same performance, but finding the 2nd machine is not capable of doing alot of my core tasks.

Ahhh business. Makes perfect sense. My son and daughter both have mustangs...same engine, same fobs, same parts!!

Wow, you must have some reluctant brides and grooms if it takes a tractor to drag them to the altar...I was thinking a funeral business would be a better match for the backhoe/excavator.

I offer package deals, get married now and I'll bury ya later. Plowed 12 hours yesterday, 8 inches snow with 2inches of rain on top of the snow. Broke lower 3pt. arm and blew loader hyd. hose. Both parts not available at dealer, so I scavanged my new L48 for the parts......synergy already!@ I was going to take the plow off the broken L48, but after considering the effort to switch the chains over as well, I decided to "borrow" the parts. Picture being covered in hyd. fluid in rain gear fixing a broken tractor in the heavy rain while your customers are waiting for you. Twice!!! No fun, but it had to be done. Anyone ever blow a hyd. line near the loader controls? HUGE spray over the operator platform and operator.
