Very nice bucks!!!! Isn't it odd how they will be out and around for months, then a week before opening day, they just disappear.
I don't know Eddie. It seems pretty rational to me. Strong selective breeding pressure over years, changing their average behavior. Bucks not getting the message are eliminated from the gene pool. We've had close to 125 years of hunting regulations in the US. That's a few breeding cycles.

I don't hunt, used to and not against it by any means, just rather watch them - and eat beef!

We let 3 different guys hunt our land. Doe or spikes only.

I watched a nice big 10 point go from velvet to horns over the summer, often grazing with the doe and a group of other 6 and 8 pointers.

Interesting how we haven't seen a horn in about 4 weeks now...
