Took these before I started. I cut and pulled a good many mesquite roots out today. I will get some pics tomorrow of the aftermath.

I run it about 6 to 8" below the surface. Only problem was that it bunched up grass in front.

I don't have mesquite so I might be missing something. Do they grow individually so you are simply cutting off a single plant?? And you have to run over the plant with the tractor to get it in position?? Sorry for my ignorance. :)

I know even less about mesquite. I thought it was a pretty good size tree.

My mature mesquite are 12' - 15' high and more than that around. No way I would drive my tractor over them. Maybe he has the opportunity to get 'em while they are young?

edit: reread his post, maybe he already cut the trees down and is now just getting rid of stumps/roots.

I had a forestry mulcher come through and take them down to ground level. It wasn't enough since I busted one of the disc on my dearborn breaking plough. I have mesquite from 5' to 25' high.
