PHD PTO shaft too short

I got PHD Leinbach 7400 for my B7800. No matter how I mount it PTO shaft is about 16" short... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif How is that possible? Anybody has any ideas?

Is it a telescoping shaft that is rusted together? or is it simply way too short a shaft for your mower / tractor combo.. and the shaft comes apart.. as you mention.. 16" apart..

Post a picture, it is a lot easier to give you an answer if we can see the problem. 16" is a long way off, maybe they gave you the wrong shaft with the PHD. Do you have a quick connect on the 3PH? That would set you back but not 16". I have a PHD and I have a Freedom hitch quick attach and I have moved the PHD through all its mounting points and never came close to running out of shaft.

I have to second what Soundguy says. I just recently got the leinbach 7400jr for my bx. Try to get the shaft to extend by pulling apart while tapping on it with a rubber mallet.

I would bet your is telescopic, but maybe just a little stuck..

They are ALL telescopic.

Yep, They all are telescopping so that it will adjust when you raise or lower the 3ph.

It has a two piece shaft. A large shaft that slides over a smaller shaft. But it is hidden under the protective plastic cover. It it has set out in the weather it is probably stuck. Mine does. As mentioned, you may to persuade it a little with a rubber mallet or block of wood. Something that will not damage it.
