Petrol (gas) has come back in price over the last month from about $1.10 lt to 92c lt aust . It has been said that the now stability in the Middle east is the reason. Has there been a noticeable fall in prices in the US?

Around me (W. PA), it dropped to around $1.75/gallon a couple weeks ago and has pretty much stayed there.

Why Daedong, I was just wondering where you went. Yes, the price is down. Here in California it has gone from about $2.20/gal to $1.79/gallon for regular. Do folks in Australia call it Petrol like our friends across the pond in the UK? I remember in the Gulf War the English chuckled at the folks putting "gas" in our planes.

In southern Ontario, Canada, the price for regular is around 70 to 75 cents a litre. Diesel is a few cents higher.

In central Mississippi today: Reg $1.579 Diesel $1.879.

Prices have not fluctuated much in the last month. I didn't even notice a price increase over Christmas weekend.

Hey Frank,
Hmmm. I'll bet you're in Erie county. Well, that's cheating since I know where you live... Isn't everything in Erie county now the highest in the country? What are they now wanting for a sales tax there? I heard around 9.25%. Is that close?

Frank the only thing that comes to mind is supply and demand. Since the supply is unlikely to increase and the East Coast demand is probably quite high with the huge population centers back there, I suspect reserves are not as high as they once were. I'm quite suprised ours has come down to where it is. We always seem to be higher when others have reported here in the past.

Regular topped out here at $1.92. Seeing some now at $1.59. Filled up(275 gal.) with red off road fuel two weeks ago and it was $1.69. I think that topped out at $1.79. K1 kerosene is $2.50. Glad I don't have to buy that. In my area there's been a 41 cent tax added to K1. Seems there was some thinking that it might be used for diesel. So folks that heat with portable kerosene heaters are paying an extra tax to heat there house. I bet most don't know it either.

We're sure enjoying this heat wave in Va. Been in the 70's the last 5 days and 45-60 at night. That's saving lots of $$$$ . Don't think I've ever seen it stay warm this long in Jan. Grass is starting to turn green and trees are starting to bud. I'm sure it'll change soon but it sure has been nice.
