Buying Advice Perkins Diesel for Massey Ferguson 165

Howdy
My folk's family tractor that they use to feed their livestock threw a rod shortly after a local far, equipment shop rebuilt the engine. That company will not stand behind their work, so my folks are in a hurt.
Anyone have an idea where we. Oils find a compete replacement engine or a block that we could build ourselves for their tractor?

I think you would have better luck finding another 165 than just a diesel engine for one. They are not that hard to find on Craigslist. Try that and good luck.. sorry to hear about your situation!

Do a search for tractor salvage yard, in your part of Kansas.

I'm not sure what engine you have but there are some short blocks and long blocks on Ebay. If you have the 203 there are a few long blocks, one "reconditioned" a bare block, and tons of parts. If the rod did not go through the block you might be ok rebuilding what you have. But like was said above, you could probably find another 165 for what it would cost to fix, but then again, you already know what you have - which could be good or bad :O
