I want to buy a new tractor for around the house. I will be doing the following chores. I have a 72 inch KK and I mow approximately 4 acres and some of the ground is pretty steep. I would want a front end load and backhoe to do generall road maintenance, build flower beds, and plant trees around the house. ALso, I have a PTO cement mixer that I use. I use it to concrete my driveway. It is like a 5 year project. My question is "Is the 2520 big enough to handle especially my finish mower and what options do I need which would make sure everything works and connects easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I say yes since its needed for finish mowing the next size up is the 3120, which is about 1,000 lbs heavier - You will have to see one to be 100% everything you have fits - especially the mixer

I think the dry weight of the 3120 is 2900 lbs - they dont ship them full of fuel and loaded tires :D besides the R4 on the 3120 are huge and probably weigh 600 lb each with rimguard -so it well into the mid 3500 lbs range when filled with liquid
2520 is 1865 lbs dry and I think my tires with rim guard are 400 lbs plus each

Another thing to consider is that the 72" MMM is heaver, and if you mow with the loader on (no bucket) it's a lot heavier. The Big R4's in my 3320 took 900lbs of fluid plus what they weighed. The loader Frame is something like 900-1000lbs (No bucket). and the deck is 400-500lbs. The weight adds up a lot quicker on the 3000 series.

I used to mow with a 3320 with loaded R4's let's say 3K to start, 3900 with the load, another 900 for the loader and 450 for the deck. It was a 5250lb lawnmower. Much heavier than my 2305 was. My 3720 cab (replacement for the 3320) is even heavier (+600 just for the cab).

One other non weight items it that implements are WAY more expensive for the 3000 series than the 2000 series. You want a blower? It's 5K (mount+blower) instead of maybe 2700. The loader is 4k+ instead of maybe a little over 2. And the 72"MMM is over 3K compared with about 2 or a little over for the 62's for the 2000 series (The 72 for the 2520 is expensive also).
