Peerless Duotrack Tire Chains

I found for sale a set it Duotrack 16.9 x 30 tire chains. I need 16.9x24. They should fit if I cut the length down. Correct? The person wants $300.00 for the pair. They are new.

I've cut them down before without a problem. I can tell you it's a nasty job.

I cut my fronts down. It was not too bad. These chains are just longer than I need. Right?

Have you taken a look online what they would cost? Remember that you have to pay shipping too. Yes you can cut them down and it's real easy with a 4 1/2" grinder with a cut off wheel. Save the cut off sections, if you need to repair the chains it's nice to have parts.

I can get them online anywhere from about that money upwards to four hundred and some odd dollars. Shipping would prob be around 100.00 or so. I would jump on them for $200 and would prob pay 250.00 for them. I just missed a good used set for $75 so that is stuck in my head. If I wait long enough I will find a cheap set.

I cut my fronts down using bolt cutters. It worked great. I could have them cut and fitted in no time at all.

I just bought a brushhog and a ratchet rake. I have been spending money like a drunken sailor. I am having a hard time pulling the trigger although I know I will regret not buying them.
