Hi, thanks in advance.
Please confirm my understanding of a oc pb valve.
1. valve off-- no pressure-- fluid flows out pb port and no fluid out tank port?
2. valve on-- if pressure exceeds prv setting excess fluid flows out tank port otherwise full fluid flow to the cylinder-- no flow out pb or tank port?

I know this has been hashed a million times but I cant find a simple explanation like this one if it is correct.

That is all true, but if you are not using all the hyd flow, or feathering a valve, what the cylinder does not use goes out the PB.

When you push or pull the lever all the way, the full flow of the pump fills the cylinder, and and if you continue to hold, then the relief valve comes on, and dumps the flow.

When you are pushing fluid in one end of the cyl, fluid is coming out the other cyl port to the valve tank outlet.

The only thing that flows through the T or OUT port is the "waste oil" from the work ports.
