Is this law in effect yet ??? Whats your take on it ??

I have not heard of Paws Law. Could you post the content of it or a link?

My understanding is that they are still having hearings on it. I believe that opposition is building and that it is bad news for ANYONE who owns, raises animals including pet lovers. It is the animal "rights" people trying to get a foot in the door to control all aspects of animal ownership and to eventually eliminate it.

What makes you say opposition is building ??? I hope you are right...

Because of my involvement with dog clubs and dog shows I am on a number of e-mail lists that are discussing this. If you are interested I will get some addresses for you. I do know over 60% of the member clubs of the AKC are fighting the AKC Board and are trying to elect more responsive directors.

Start here. Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance rpoa@texas.net and ask to be put on their e-mail list. They are primarily fighting breed specific legislation in Texas but they receive cross posts concerning BSL and PAWS from other organizations and places. There is another that has a lot to say but I have to look some more to find the URL.

Personally, the Humane Society has absolutely zero credibility with me. It's another example of a group (that was once credible) allowing themselves to be taken over by radicals.
