Pat\'s Easy Change System on M4900

Put the Easy Change on my M4900 this week-end. Only problem I had was the pin going thru the Ball. As I have Cat II arms, I could not get the spacer to line up with the pin. The "instructions" said "Drive the roll pin through the spacer". This was impossible to do because the pin was flat on the end. I remembered I had a couple of lower link pins in my emergency kit. They have a taper on the end. With the taper I was able to tap them thru the shim.

I did a lot of FEL work this week-end (removing old fencing and small trees) and have not tried to couple with any implement yet. But from what I've seen so far, they are well made and have infinint adjustment build in.

Will update when I attempt to hook up something.

That is one change Pat needs to make.......chamfer the edges of the pins.

I agree. With the blunt ends, I could not get the pins that came with the Easy Change to line up at all. After I used the lower link pins with the "pointed ends" (as BUBBA would say), things went together quickly. A tapered pin made of harden steel would make driving with a hammer easier. Pat, I hope you are listening. Otherwise, looks like a well made product.
