Pat\'s Easy Change System for bx 23

Any one use this system on ther bx 23. I read the post for the hitch system but they were two years old.

Is it worth the money and does it really work

I posted this a few days ago. If your BX23 has a catI or CatII hitch it should work. Click here for link It's really a good setup and I love mine.

EDIT: Shortened long link.

I don't have the Pat's system. However I do have a boxblade rear finish mower. landscape rake and a lawn roller and PHD. I have never had an issue hooking any of them up. Would the pats work on the bx? Yes. Would it make it easier? yes. But as with everything else, with a little practice, hooking up isn't an issue.

Yes and yes.
It makes it sooooooooooooo much easier to install attachments.
BUT, it doesn't work for all attachments. There are some where it just won't work because of pin placement and clearance around the pins.

I think the Pat's system is well worth the money. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have a rear blade, rake, and tiller, and there have been numerous instances where I've switched between all 3 implements in a single day. Before I got the Pat's system, switching was a real pain, and I'd end up pulling all sorts of 3ph pins to make the change out easier. With the Pat's system, changing implements is done in less than half the time, and I don't work up a sweat doing it anymore.

Another big plus is that the Pat's system allows the 3ph on our smaller SubCUT's to lift the implements higher because it moves the pin hookup out a few more inches. It allowed my machine to lift my rake and rear blade twice as high (with the same top link length) as before the Pat's system was installed. I've got a few pics in my link below that show the rear blade attached right after installing the Pat's system.

When I upgrade to a larger Compact tractor, the Pat's system is coming off the SubCompact and going onto the Compact, no matter how many 3ph bells and whistles the new machine has to make hookup easier.

Oh yeah, I disconnected a post hole digger to my neighbor's BX22 this summer, and it was a freakin' pain in the neck, and took a while. He complained that hookup was as big a pain in the neck. The Pat's system would have made it much, much quicker and easier.

I think that pole barn is so great looking. Nice job on the doors.

Thanks. I've got to get updated pics of the house renovation on my Webshots page - I've been too busy lately to do it, but I'm going to try this weekend (I've been saying that for a month now). I've got the same overhead door on the house, but a little bigger at 18' wide. And it goes to a 27'-8" deep (interior dimension) garage bay, so my truck gets a garage this winter. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System for bx 23

Yehhhh, Pat's works great on my BX and I'm very glad I have it.
SCB has done more, or at least as much, work as anybody with a BX and I'd take his comments seriously.
I dunno if Pat's is worth the money if it's $200 ... very thankfully, I got mine "used".
Cheers!
