Pasture renovator build?

I am planning to build a pasture renovator similar to a Farnam or Pasture King. I had a Farnam with the seed/fertilizer box but sold it in a moment of ignorance, but that's my stupidity.
Anyway I have the option of field cultivator shanks (which I have from some danish tine wings my Dad and brother took off a working unit) or rippers from a box blade (which I would have to purchase) which would the best option?
Would the coulters be need as used on the Pasture King? I have a number of tool bars and can get metal from work.
At present I only plan on the ripper and use my herd seeder for broadcasting seed but in the future may add a seed box.

One of my hay farmers sold his Pasture King. It pulled up too many rocks which makes a mess of a hay filed. I tried to make one without the coulter but my tractor does not have enough weight for traction. Granted my tractor weighs around 3,000 pound but one shank can stop my tractor. No ballast on my rims or in the tires. If you want to renovate the theory is the coulter slices the top of the soil and 4" or more of the sod so you do not pull clumps of sod out by the roots.

the tines of a Triple K cultivator arent going to work... they work in solid soil untilll 4 inches and in ploughed soil up to 6 inches, before flexing back so much that the chisel stands vertical and it doesnt penetrate anymore.

You need fixed legs. And to keep lumps down, they use straight (not curved, although they pull lighter) legs that are angled 15 degrees back.
