This is a followup to the Ferrari 340 (BCS 740) vs. Grillo G 110 post.
I finally received the Pasquali XB40, aka BCS 740 or Ferrari 340 and wanted to share some photos.

Since the shipment arrived in pretty bad shape I took more pictures than originally intended, so if anyone wants to see specific details I can add more.

Fortunately, except a few scuffs and worn through cable sleeve, there is no serious damage and everything seems to be working fine.

Thank you Rob, can you please elaborate. I don't understand what you mean.

I see some mention this in the forums, I thought this applies to regular clutch not the PowerSafe?

Ah, I'm not sure about powersafe clutches. Looks like it's documented here - I know with the standard clutch you definitely want it engaged for storage. Interesting!

Congratulations Tandem. Looks like a nice setup.
We just bought a 26" Berta flail mower, haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I don't think you can engage the Power Safe clutch while not in use?

This only applies to the cone clutch like on our 732. I found out the hard way!!

PowerSafe vs Standard Clutch Differences

Thank you for the link Rob, looks like PowerSafe users don't need to worry about the sticking clutch issue.

From the BCS article:
[PowerSafe] Eliminates the "Stuck Clutch" Syndrome. The PowerSafe's hydraulic "wet" clutch replaces the spring-loaded cone clutch, eliminating the risk of becoming frozen or “stuck” due to moisture bonding the cones together when left engaged (un-clipped). While the stuck standard clutch is completely avoidable if the owner is diligent about clipping the clutch lever during storage, PowerSafe removes the risk completely.

Looking at the specifications at BCS America the Pasquali XB40 is identical to the BCS 749 (PS) in the U.S.

Congratulations Tandem. Looks like a nice setup. We just bought a 26" Berta flail mower, haven't had a chance to use it yet.

The Berta is just amazing, it is very well made and does an excellent job in areas where my previous mowers would fail or struggle, you will love it.

You are correct, the PowerSafe does not have the locking clip on the clutch leaver.

How is the PowerSafe clutch to engage? The clutch lever on my BCS is my least favorite part of my 853 unit, hand fatigue is a serious problem on long jobs. I do not enjoy it. :p
