Parts wanted for Case IH 275

I wonder if the Case IH 275 was only made in low numbers?. it seems very hard to find parts for that!.. many other many years older tractors parts can be bought!..

I seen that on ebay. But not the correct drop box and only one lift arm $$$

That era of IH and Case IH compact tractors were made by Mitsubishi. Some of the Mitsubishi models shared a lot of crossover to some of the Case IH models. I think the Mitsubishi MT300D shared a lot of parts with the Case 275, so you may have some luck if you search parts from the MT300D. West Kentucky Tractor Parts shows on their website that they have both CIH 275 and MT300 parts tractors in their inventory.

The 275's mid PTO option was available on 2 and 4WD models and used the same parts so don't automatically ignore any 2WD models for those parts.

Yes it was made by the Mitsubishi company along with other models however I have been told the drop box is specific to the case IH 275. I will do some more research into the two wheel drive model and see if they use the same case and just didn't have the front axle and driveshaft attached as there is an output for four-wheel drive on that case.

There was lots of them built by Mitsubishi 4 Case IH however I don't think lots of them quit running and ended up in wrecking yards yet. As for parts it's like anything they don't want you to fix stuff anymore they want you to buy new.

Yes, I think the mid PTO was specific to the 275, I just mentioned the MT300 crossover because so many parts were shared between the 2 models. It opens a new avenue for used parts searches on things you need now like 3 point parts or parts you may need in the future. Lots and lots of identical diagrams in my MT300 manual and Case's online 275 parts diagrams.

You may already be aware of this but Messicks website shows a new tach is still available and while the dropbox case was discontinued, they indicate that they may still be able to source it.

I did see the new tach available for 200 usd on Messicks. This is the parts page I got the part numbers from. Even if the case was available new I require the complete assembly. Part by part would be far too expensive. I have seen some 3pt hitch kits on ebay but would prefer to find a complete used on kit. I can't seem to find if the parts for the 3pt are identical to the 300. But the motors are spot on identical.

I can't answer that with 100% certainty since my manual doesn't have a diagram of the MT300's 3 point hitch components. However, if you enlarge Google images of MT300's 3 point hitches, it appears the sway chains are bolted to the drag links like on my MTE2000D/ CIH255 ( Case (255) - CASE IH TRACTOR (1/86-12/87) Parts Diagrams ) and the 275's drag links are designed for the sway chains to be pinned ( Case (275) - CASE IH TRACTOR (1/86-12/88) Parts Diagrams ), other than that drag link design difference, the MT300 and the 275 sure appear to share the other components.

Still looking for parts. I can't seem to find a wrecker with a drop box. I also need draw bars and links. If someone has any. Or if they know if any other's would work on this Case IH 275
