After sorting my stud situation to add my extra rear remote, I got everything bolted up tight and leak free. Mahindra has what they call a rear remote add kit, with includes the valve, fittings, levers and linkage. Everything went great until it was time to hook up the new remote. The link rod is several inches too short. Taking out the bends still leaves it lacking.

Does anyone know of a place that sells the various links? The kit had a rod with holes for the ball at either end, with a slip over collar to hold it together. The Mahindra Fiche only shows their cobbled bolt with a hook welded on it setup, which is what comes from the factory.

Google is an idiot trying to understand multiple variations of link, linkage rear remote, etc. I can fab one up if I can get the correctly-sized quick-connect for the existing balls on the tractor.

Any help appreciated.

Picture would help, I think I know what you are looking. Have you checked McMaster?

Yeah, I've been poking about their site. They have quick-connect ball joint fittings, but unfortunately publish every dimension save for the ball diameter. I'll get a pic today. Basically the cab levers have a pivot ball welded onto the lower end of the lever, which sticks out below the cab. The link rods connect from this ball out to the remote valve.

The local tractor stores aren't helpful, unless you know exactly what you need, they can't be bothered to rummage through misc hardware.

There are a couple that list ball size, but for the ones that don't just reach out to McMaster and see if they can get you that info.
I've had to do it before and most of the time they can get you the additional technical info.

OK, I managed to locate my taps/dies kit and thread tools (moving is such fun). Stud ball thread is M8 x 1.25 ball head is .390" according to my mic. McMaster has quick-connect ball joint assys with that thread size, and the simple term, "connecting rods" yielded externally threaded rod in various lengths. I'm gambling that the ball dia will be close such that the shank will close and hold over the shift lever ball. The other end should thread into the valve, being the same dia and pitch.

Here's the goober setup from the factory. Ball shank from new valve above.

You could get a link with a threaded stud and remove the existing ball, or use a through hole ball joint with bolt and nuts if you can't find a matching one.

That "factory" setup looks a bit janky to me!

Here's what I ordered, along with a 455mm rod. I can uncouple and attach the shank at the lever end to hook on the ball and do the same at the valve end, or just thread the stud into the valve. The link is actually going to be a bit long, so I can put a couple bends in it to clear the 1st lever travel and line up with the valve. Just like the original rod they sent that was 4" too short.
