Tractor
Mid 70's UTB 445
I have a mid 70's UTB 445 tractor that came with a piece of land I bought 2 years ago. It has run very strong until this week when the gear shifter stuck in Neutral as I was shifting out of Reverse.

Any ideas on how I can get it unstuck???

Thanks!

Welcome
I've never worked on a UTB, but ill bet this is what you need to do.
Unbolt the shiftier / cover plate from the transmission and realign the shiftier forks. You tried to shift to fast and cross fired the gears.

Good Luck

Dad's mf 135 does that once in a while... shift too fast, (mostly 4th to rev when brush hogging in some weird position on a hill) one shift rail doesn't fully return to center before the end slips out and over to the next shift rail... the ol massy has a removable plug in just the right place to use a long screw driver to pop the offending shift rail back to neutral and all is well.
