Palm tree felling

Do palm trees require different cuts for their different behavior than the usual trees?

I wouldn't waste my time cutting one down if I wanted rid of it. I would just take the tractor and push it over, then grab it with the grapple and haul it off.
People pay for those things, so I would find a landscaper that would remove it and backfill the hole to get the tree!
