Ted from Everything Attachments says he hates floating forks, I think because you can稚 point them down? I致e used my non-floating forks in ways you shouldn稚 like digging out a rock so I don稚 think I壇 like floating either.
I prefer floating forks. If you need to point them down or apply down pressure, use a short piece of chain.

Floating forks would never do for me...

Me neither. They have an obvious disadvantage and I’m not sure what the advantage is.

They suck. They cost a considerable amount of lift capacity and visibility is awful. They’ve been known to bend buckets.

Yup! They are cheap, but that's about it.
