Forks pallet forks for fel

i "thought" i wanted a set of pallet forks for my fel, until
i called the local kubota dealer and he said they where
about $1000. i think i'll look for a different alternative.

now that answered my questions about pallet forks;
to bad the only thing i can make is a mess..but i
will be looking for some forks like the detachable
ones shown by so many folks.

Anyone ever put a boom pole on the FEL?
Seems it would work great for some timber framing I am about to undertake. I don't think the pole on the 3pt would lift high anough. Any thoughts?

Heehaa I use a set of the quick attach "store bought" variety pallet forks and they do a very good job. I have no experience with the forks that attach to the bucket of a FEL. I do have to wonder though if one has to stand on their seat to see the end of the pallet forks. I would imagine just by looking at most pictures that the bucket itself would be in the line of sight for squaring up a load to lift. I'm sure someone will correct me on this point if I am wrong.

Heehaw, be careful with what alternative you choose and what you decide to lift. Your tractor and loader are capable of lifting more than what you may realize. Many bargin-basement pallet forks use fabricated, mild steel as their tines, not real forged tines.
Mild steel bends. Forged steel is much stronger. Plus it flexes and gives, but retains its shape.
You get what you pay for in pallet forks.

I have modified a Spedco Quick Hitch to fit my FEL. Just last week I got the Boom Pole attached to it. It works great. On B2910 it will reach about 14'. I do not have any pictures to post of the Boom Pole yet. If the weather clears up today and I get home from work early enough I'll get some pictures. Otherwise it will be next weekend.
