I made this quick attach gadget to clamp onto my pallet forks when I need to pick something up using chains or straps. Using the pallet forks works better than using a bucket and chains because of the extended reach. This unit is easy to attach to the forks and I have used it quite allot.

Excellent work, Bob! That will come in very handy.

I've been planning to make one like it, if I can ever find the time. Mine will have a receiver hitch tube welded to the top.

Thanks for sharing.

Very Good idea,
Are the bolt holes drilled & tapped through the bottom of the fixture?

Awesome idea! I think I'll be scrounging some steel and firing up my stick welder.

Woohoo! I love the smell of burnt metal in the morning! It smells like ... VICTORY! :D

Bob

I will, but it may be awhile. I went out there this afternoon ready to weld and beat on some iron. However, I think my barn got hit by lightning last night. My welding outlet seems to be fried and the circuit for my outlets too. Very weird behaviour from them. Nothing is ever easy.

I head out to do some work and wind up having to fix four things and blowing all my "work" time on repairs. :( Ah well. If there are any electricians around, I think I have a tricky one for you. Email me if you want to help me NOT go insane.

Good morning rvb. If you still need some help on your electrical issues shoot me an email and I'll do what I can by remote control.

Best regards, Alan
