I bought the Workshop manual (rev DEC 2004) when I bought my
tractor back in 05. It covers the CK25/CK30.

I am about to open up the 3-pt cylinder housing on my Bobcat CT230
and I notice that Chapter 9 (Hydraulics) ends with page 9-54. There
seems to be some areas about the position control not covered. Also,
the troubleshooting table on page 9-28 refers to page 9-56.

Anyone with a service manual for any M27 tractor have those pages?
I have not seen Bobcat's version of the the service manual, and I do not
plan to buy it.

I'll have to check my manual when I get home.

I almost forgot to follow this up.

My manual is dated Dec 2004 and ends at 9-54 as well.

Thx for checking. There is also reference to an external relief valve
on the 3-pt cyl housing, but no picture and no listing in the parts
book. Hmmm.

That is an old manual. We only have the new edition for the CK25-CK35 tractors. Sorry, can't help you with the pages.

We can tell you that if you have the Loader Joystick valve, the system relief is on the loader valve. The relief was removed from the hydraulic block when the joystick valve was added.

Yes, as far as I can tell from my parts book, Kioti depended on a RV in a
removable block if the FEL valve was not installed. I suspect that ALL these
tractors come with the FEL valve (with RV) now, correct? As you know,
the FEL valve is not mounted to the 3-pt cyl housing. The optional
hydraulic block (with RV and manual diverter spool) was attached to the
same place on the 3-pt cyl block that the optional AUX valve(s) attach.
Is that correct? Have you seen this optional hyd block?

The troubleshooting table does refer to a RV on the 3-pt cyl block, however.
Does the new manual have this table?

There IS at least a shock RV internal to the "MLS" cntl valve on the 3-pt cyl
housing.

Well, I answered that question anyway. The optional hyd block (which
I suspect is no longer sold on the latest units) was installed on top of
the bracket that the FEL valve mounts to.

I sure wish my service manual was better.....

Yeah, I had the old CK20 service manual which was of limited use too. However, the new service manual, at least for the DKse series, is really excellent IMO. Well written, well illustrated and with many explanations rather than just directions. Someone got it right finally.

Looked at my manual which covers 25/30/35 and was printed May 2007. In chapter 10, page 10 it says this; NOTE: The hydraulic block has the main relief valve and is installed in the tractor which is not equipped with the joystick valve. For the tractor equipped with the joystick valve, the main relief valve is installed in the joystick valve.

Chapter 10, page 40 has a break down of the 3 pt lift cylinder.

In my parts book, page 400 has the parts break down. If you need the part number for the lift cylinder rebuild kit and gasket, I have these as I bought them thinking I had a problem that required tearing into it but was something different and easier.

You didn't say why you're "opening up" the 3 pt. cylinder housing.
