There are 11,000 customers in Colorado who have been without power for two weeks. Reports are they are getting grumpy about it.

my current blower moves it 40+ feet away. Never run out op places to push it. Have over 24” sticking, 2 more today and there predicting heavy 8-12” overnight….but ill wait to see that. There wrong so many times.

That is the plan for next year. Cab tractor and a snow blower. I've been clearing the driveway to 10' wide for two days and have one more day of work to go. The first day was spent clearing a path my pickup could get through so I could get more fuel. I have 3 ft. high snow berms on either side of the driveway, If I get another storm like the one Wednesday-Thursday and it fills in between the snow berms the only way in or out will be by helicopter. Going to keep the diesel cans full if another storm comes.

Holy moly, that's a lot of rain. Is Bucoda underwater yet?

Translate that kind of rain to snow, it's no wonder all the passes are closed. With I-5 closed there aren't to many ways out. If this were an old disaster movie, now would be the time to cue the Cascadia fault earthquake and tsunami.

I5 is open now, we didn't get much rain yesterday, a few hundredths at most. The tide is receding at this point. My understanding is that I5 was closed as a precaution, WSDOT was afraid that the flood would go over it, but it creasted without doing so.
The last time it flooded there it did go over the highway, I worked on mapping the area for design work to rebuild it higher to be out of flood range. Looks like that was successful.

Beautiful blue skies here for the weekend. Maybe a chance of rain toward Thursday. Good chainsaw weather, since trees shed a year's worth of firewood.

We had a bout 15-inches of snow Wednesday and Thursday, in three waves. took a bit to clean up. I need to brush the snow off of things tomorrow. Should have done it today, but the forecast was for another 2 to 3-inches.

Luckily it came down about 400-ft above my place, and I didn’t get anything new.
