oxygen regulator

I had a Victor O2 regulator that a very strong nursed tightened so tight it ruptured the diaphragm. Victor of California company headquarters is less than 15 miles away.

I pulled out the wall regulator and drove it over... I explained to the shop foreman that I was in a bind and he told me to come with him... he gave the regulator to a man on the shop floor to repair... it was taken apart, new diaphragm and tested in less than 5 minutes.

Paid invoice amount of $20 and I was a happy camper.

The Foreman told me to come back if I had any other Victor Equipment needs...

When using my oxy/acetylene setup yesterday, my oxygen regulator started hissing. There is a small hole on the regulator where the O2 is coming from. The hole is supposed to be there but the bleed-off doesn't appear to be normal.
The brand is "fire...something" I don't use it very often and I was using the torch yesterday. Everything was working okay and then it started hissing from that hole on the O2 regulator. I tried adjusting the pressure and nothing helped.
Thanks for any info.

I think you must replace oxygen regulator before any serious accident takes place.
